School Dinners & Menu
Children attending full-time can stay for school lunch, bring a packed lunch or be collected to go home for lunch.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school lunches, which they can choose on a daily basis. For children in other years, the cost for school dinners is £2.65 per day (with effect from the start of the 2023-24 academic year)
Water is available to drink with all meals.
SCHOOL DINNERS
Each day during the school register, teachers ask the children if they will be having a hot dinner, a sandwich bag, a home pack up or are going home for lunch. Based on your child's selection, the school will order a school dinner if required - you do not need pre-order hot dinners. No money will be taken from your ParentPay account until a hot dinner is ordered by your child.
Please advise the school office by email if your child has any dietary requirements e.g. no pork, allergies etc.
All meals are prepared in the Kitchen and eaten in one of our Dining Rooms. School meals are not available to children attending part-time.
Free school meals
If you receive certain benefits, your child could also qualify for free school meals during all school years. To qualify you must be receiving:

PACKED LUNCH
As an alternative to school meals children may bring a packed lunch. This should be brought in a firmly closed box, bearing the child’s name. Insulated lunch boxes are recommended to keep food safe and fresh. Drinks must be brought in plastic or cardboard containers. For safety reasons, canned drinks and glass containers are not allowed. PLEASE DO NOT HAVE ANY NUT OR SESAME ITEMS IN THE PACKED LUNCH
If your child forgets his or her packed lunch we will try and contact you. If we are unable to do so we will supply a school lunch for which you will be required to pay.
HOME DINNERS
If your child is going home for lunch, you will need to collect him/her from the playground which is accessible by the main gate on Campleshon Road. You will need to press the buzzer to gain access.
Lunch time starts at 11.55 a.m for the Reception and Key Stage 1 children. Key Stage 2 classes start lunch at 12.00 noon.
Lunchtime play finishes at 1.10 p.m. for all children. Please make sure your child is back in the school grounds in plenty of time, so as not to miss the lunchtime bell.
Children arriving back late from lunch will need to be signed into the late book.
SCHOOL NUT POLICY
Please can we remind all parents that we are a NUT FREE SCHOOL.
We have children in school with severe nut allergies and therefore request that packed lunches and snacks do not contain nuts or nut products such as peanut butter. Please ensure that everybody who looks after your child is aware of this and does not send your child into school with nuts. Our kitchen staff have worked very hard to create a nut free menu.
