Mini Forest School Update

Last Sunday, 21st October 2018, Mrs Gibson met with a few super volunteers to clear the proposed Forest School area.

As much as a Forest School is meant to be a 'wild' area, it was necessary to clear/rake up the ivy carpet as it was preventing anything else growing at all! The results are very exciting as we have a much larger site than we thought having taken down the old fencing that kept the chickens in and cutting back the vicious brambles.

The staff have all taken classes out to gain the children's ideas for use and we held a staff meeting to gain the teacher's ideas linked to Big Ideas or general weekly use.

Thank you so much to the people who turned up to help on Sunday and for all the offers of help going forwards. Mrs Gibson will certainly be in touch as the project goes forwards. In the meantime, please please please could we ask you to vote for our Aviva Community Fund via this link
